having a picnic

Yesterday it was a rainy day here. Madisyn loves it when her friend comes to play. They decided that they were going to have a picnic with baba. These are precious memories and I love it!

August 22,1998 and August 22,2011

On Saturday August 22,1998 Jason and I were married. We we thrilled to be married even when some of our friends thought we were jumping the gun. Well, we are the ones that are still together and none of our friends that were together then, are together now.

We always knew we wanted children. We always thought a boy and a girl would be awesome. We never dreamed that having a family was going to be difficult. We did fertlity for four years, acupunture for a year and finally came to the decision that we were done with this stuff. We never dreamed in a million years that we were to travel around the world to be united with our daughter. God had a plan completely different then the plan Jason and I had. Also, so competely amazing and profoundly unique and awesome.

Four and half years we waited, with rude comments from family, friends and outsiders, Jason and I struggled with the thought we maybe waiting years longer. We did alot of soul searching and research on adopting a child with a minor correctable need and we are so happy we did.

AUGUST 22.2011

Thirteen years later... Jason and I didn't go out for dinner, didn't buy cards or flowers or jewerlly but we finally had our daughter home and had to visit Mac with her. Just a check up to make sure everything was great. This is our miracle and we feel turly blessed with her in our lives.

Summer Fun with my Friends

 Enjoying a freezie. After having a big race with my daycare friends down the drive way. 

 The kids think it's great that I give them paint brushes and water and let them paint the house. Little miss was thinking it so much fun that she had baba in on the fun too.

Annnd the races begin. They had a blast doing this. She was having fun going down the drive way and stopping at the end,yelling "yay"!!!! funny girl

Fun @ the Splash pad

Little Miss loved the water but needed to hanging on to make sure it was okay. You should of heard the laughing ans shreks that was coming from her while running through the sprinkling palm trees with baba. She asking "more".lol

Madisyn loves one of the daycare kids a lot. She likes walking around holding hands with him and just playing with him. He is a wonderful kid too. He enjoys her. Especially her laugh. He thinks it great and would have made a wonderful bring brother. Here is a picture of them playing with Jason.

Bloodwork

We are deciding on what we are going to do about her immunizations. Dr.Neary wants to know what China has already given her. So today, Jason had to take her for bloodwork. Apparently she did really well, cried alot but did okay. Jason said that she cried so hard that she was sweating like crazy.

She came home and gave me a big hug. then she proceeded to show me the princess sticker she got and the stuff on her arm Poor girlie!!!!!

My Rocking chair

This use to be my rocking chair when I was little. She absolutely loves it and I told her, it's now hers.

getting longer

I've always wanted a little girl. I  have her and she is  beautiful. This picture makes her look so big. Also, her hair is getting longer. I can't wait to put ponytails in her hair for baba. She really likes pretties in her hair and cries when I go to take them out at night time.

I remember as a kid, driving with my grandmother all the time in Newfoundland, if she would see a line of diapers , she would say "that looks so good". Well, nana, you can't see her in person but I know you are looking down from heaven and can see her and this line of diapers. We love you and miss you dearly. I show Madisyn pictures of you and poppa all the time. I love you xoxoxoxox

This puts a big smile on Baba's face, to see his little princess enjoying her golf clubs. He is also happy that she is a lefty. What a cute golfer!!!

3 months ago

So three months ago, this is what we were doing. I am emotionally drained at this point but loving every minute of it.

Baby Pics!!!

Ever since Jason and I have been home, I have been struggling with the fact that Little miss Diva may never know what her foster mom looked like. I am very committed to finding all the information I can on our little girl. I saw something on line,something about Hohhot Foster Graduates.There was a little little girl on there that I knew was her. I emailed them and today when I opened my email there were more pictures of her and some with her foster mom. Here are just 2 pics we received. She is adorable and so cute. I would know that face anywhere.

Craft

This picture was taken this morning. All the daycare kids were taking turns painting with A B C's sponges and she wanted to have a turn too. She wasn't so sure about the paint getting on her hands. She keep showing me her hands and saying"Mama"..Good Job painting little one

Totally into her music and I thought this was such a cute picture. She looks like she is singing her little heart out.lol

Build me a Castle

I asked miss diva to build us a huge castle to live in. This is our castle. She was pretty proud of her castle. Good job baby!!

Just groovin'

Jason and I were listening to her mandarin music with her and she was groovin'. She is totally absorbed in music. She also has OCD like her mama...everything needs to match.
