She's so Proud

Miss Diva's teacher @ school approached me and asked if she could wear her Mongolian dress and head dress to school again today. She was having the class do the dragon dance @ first nutrition break and she wanted Miss Diva to lead... So we chatted and she was so excited.

Ministry Approval

So, we have been informed that our paperwork has gone to the Canadian government for approval. This can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. Then the dossier will go for translation , which is closer to 2 weeks and then it will be sent to the CCCWA in Beijing China for a LID(log in date). That takes about 2 weeks as well.

Right now, CB is mostly matching children to parents with their individual files. They come 3-4 times a year. The next set of files are due in May.I am hoping we are LID by then. There are 2 other families waiting for boys as well. I am very excited to be returning to China and also about bringing home our son.

I'll keep you posted

christmas photos

I know this is a little late but we've been busy! We had a great Christmas and I wish every one is like this with one slight change...my mom to be with us.
These are some treats that I made along with all the yummy cookies and cakes. I love this time of the year.
A picture from the crazy ice storm we had. We lost 3 big branches off our maple tree in the front of the house. I was a little sad. I really like that tree. Helps keep the house cool in the summer.
Miss diva and her baba made a gingerbread train together, while momma went shopping.

McMaster appointment today

So today we had another appointment with the cleft plastic surgeon. Miss Diva's palate isn't long enough to reach the back of the throat to stop the air from escaping out her nose. She needs another surgery.

How do they do this? Well, what's going to happen is they will take tissue from the back of the throat and stitch it into the existing palate. The surgery will look something like this

Jason and I are a little scared that she is going to sounds completely different. I hope this is sooner rather than later. She was nervous today, I told her that they weren't doing anything today but just looking in her mouth. It was great to have her see other children in the 3V1 clinic today they "look" like her and are going through the same thing.

Sorry I've haven't blogged but.....

It has been a very busy couple of months around here. I haven't been feeling the greatest and then Christmas came. Our Christmas was quite and I really liked that. No drama, no traveling and most of all there was no one I love and care for really ill. A lot to be thankful for.

Miss Diva wanted only two things from Santa this year. A new kitchen centre and Hello kitty lego. I will post about that later.

The thing that kept us busy the most was preparing our paperwork for second adoption. We finally have everything completed, signed and as of today, Children's Bridge has received our completed dossier for China. We are very very nervous about the second but quite excited as well. Our recommendation is for a male child up to 36 months of age with unilateral cleft lip and palate. I can't wait to share our story as we travel this journey to our son.

Please pray for us and for him. Mostly for him. His safety, health and most of all his heart. We need prayers as we continue this path for strength, guidance and for God to provide all the financial stuff too.

Stay tune for the complete story
