swimming weeks 2 & 3

Happy Mother's day......

So, tonight I sit here with a very happy heart but also with a very sad heart.

Happy because tomorrow is mother's day and I have been blessed with a beautiful ,funny,strong willed, smart little girl. She is my life and I love her more then I had ever thought would be possible.

My heart is aching for a chinese mom who did what was best for her daughter. For whatever her reason is not being able to parent, I respect it. I will not judge, blame or have harsh feelings but I will love you. I think of you and wonder if you think of her. You must! She's apart of you. I want to wish you a happy mother's day and let you know she is loved!

1 year forever family day anniversary

A year ago today, we waited patiently to board a plane in Beijing airport to fly to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. We were so excited and nervous, but couldn't wait to finally see our little girl.

 This picture was taken by Krista, the other mom in Hohhot with us. She was downstairs waiting, Miss Diva was there waiting for her momma and baba as well.

 I was handed her from the nanny, the we got to sit down with them and ask some questions and they gave us lots of information on Wang feng yan....

  Shortly after, she fell asleep in my arms, holding onto what she had left from what she knew, the photo album we sent her.

 Sleeping in the hotel room. She didn't move. I just sat and watched her sleep for 2 hours straight.

This was just after she woke from having her nap. She was very pleasent, playing with the toys we brought and listening to the music on the books we gave her. We were so in love at this point, jason and I were in tears.

Pimp Baba's Ride.....

We bought this bike seat because the attachment for the chariot to attach to the bike is rusted. So, this was the next best thing to take her for bike rides. she wasn't so sure about the whole thing first but after, she was loving it! I can't wait to go for family bike rides.....I love my little fam jam!

Look @ those piggie tails....

 Her hair is finally long enough to put it all up in pigtails on the sides of her head. Baba is very happy because he loves piggytails.....

 playing with her daycare friends in the water table...it was warm her yesterday....

 one happy little camper...she loves playing in the water like this..she is also liking swimming lessons too.

All by herself

 We've just started doing the letters and numbers with her and she keeps asking for more. I was kind of surprised with how neat this was done. I helped my holding the paper still...the rest done by miss diva.
