2 year Reunion.

We all decided that it was to cold and wet to go to the tulip festival, so we went to the children's museum instead. Miss Diva doesn't like anything that has to do with clowns or covering your face. She had a hard time with the theatre exhibit but we talked her thru it.

We just decided to do the fancy curtains and then sat and watched the other children play.

New found love

While I was working in the backyard, miss Diva wanted to help. She asked if she could water the flowers.\I told her sure, and off she went to make sure the flowers weren't thirsty anymore.
Us! working together as a team...got myself a shopping buddy, a gardening buddy and lovin' it!

Canadian Citizen ....

It's finally done...all the last paperwork to her adoption process is complete. She is now a Canadian citizen and we are very excited to receive this last piece of the puzzle. Congratulations my princess on becoming a Canadian citizen. We love you

Just a Little Sass!

This little girl loves to dance. In some of her moves you can see her sass. I love the way she moves and the  facial expressions are priceless.

Dance Recital

Miss Diva had her last dance for a few weeks. We were again permitted to go inside and watch her dance class for the last 15 minutes. Did I ever mention how cute these little girls are? They are adorable!

2 years together...

May 8, 2013 was 2 years for us being a family. Jason and I sometimes can't believe it's been 2 years but there are still things with everyday life that reminds us that she is still very new to our family.

She has settled in beautifully and is our life. I thank God daily for her. We are truly blessed to have such a beautiful little girl.

This weekend, we will travel to Ottawa to see the other families that traveled with us to China. Miss Diva is so excited and can't wait. I will post pictures along the way.

lots happening...

There are lots of stuff going on here at the Schraud house. Jason and I were thinking of adopting again. There was a little girl we had fallen in love with. We did some searching for her file and did some soul searching on her and her special needs that she has.We knew she had a cleft palate only  and a ear deformity, which has left her profoundly deaf. Jason and I struggled with this and feel this is a need we can't parent. My heart is broken because I fell in love with this little princess and wanted to bring her home. With saying that, we have decided to put adopting another on the back burner for now and concentrate on our family.Time will tell if we continue down that road again.

Miss Diva as finally received all her documents from the government, she is now a Canadian citizen. Thank goodness.

We are preparing for miss diva's fourth birthday party. As her mom, I am excited to have yet another birthday to celebrate with her, but somewhere in China, our biological mom is more than likely grieving, wondering where, what , and missing her little girl so much. I can't help but stop daily and say a prayer for her. She is apart of my family, but we are strangers, we have a daughter together but never met. More importantly, we have a loved little girl. Where ever you are, whatever you may be doing, we love you, we talk about you and miss you. I wish I could show you and tell you how beautiful, smart , funny and stubborn our little princess really is. May God give you peace in knowing she is the centre of her parents world.

A lot of people judge for the decisions made but until you live their lives, live in their country. Please don't judge, we live where medical attention is at our fingertips and covered. If you don't know what to do or say about this, don't say anything until you know the facts. Just pray for China and all the orphans in that country!

Last, we will be very excited to take our first real vacation in a week. We have planned a holiday in the states. We , as a family, need this. To spend time together to reconnect and just relax.
