A Day Out With Thomas
We were all excited to go visit Thomas the Tank Engine In St. Thomas. We were up bright and early so we wouldn't be there when it was boiling hot. We were there for the 10:15am train ride. She was soooooo excited to finally see Thomas and be able to go for a ride on him.
The welcome sign when we arrived. She was giggling and screaming when she saw this sign. Can you imagine how she reacted when she finally saw the "real" Thomas....
conductor Madisyn
She was on stage signing with the live entertainer. She was actually singing Old Mc Donald had a farm and you could hear the words very plain. God love her.
She was terrified of Sir Topman Hat, so we just walked past and got our page stamped to get her free prize on our way out.

Uncle Sim Budgell's farewell
Today one of the greatest men I have known other then my grandpa is being laid to rest . I am blogging about this because I want to remember the day and be able to talk to my little princess about it.
For those who knew him, he was a man with no education. But could fix anything wrong with a vechile. He couldn't read a map, but could travel anywhere and get to any place he needed to go. He couldn't spell much but he spell love to his family unconditionally. He was a man of giving but also a man of taking.
I have very fond memories of uncle when I was little and growing up. I lived with them for a while when my mom moved to Hamilton in 1979. I truly cared and loved him dearly.
Please rest in peace uncle Sim, please give nanna, poppa and my friend Pete a hug and kiss for me. Please tell them how much I miss them and love them, I will see them soon. love you!

ASKED TO GO...POTTY
Yesterday miss diva sat on the potty and went poop but it took her a while. She sat there playing with her hello kitty lego and having the T.V on as well. We were so excited that she finally went poop on the potty. She is catching onto this really fast. Faster then I expected.
This morning, she got up and we did our normal routine. We got dressed, combed out hair and put pretties in her hair, and starting brushing our teeth. We were like 2 seconds into brushing her teeth and I heard" momma, I gotta go poop." Quickly I sat her on the potty and she went . Good Job yan yan! This is the first time asking and actually doing her business. We are so excited!
It's funny the things you get excited about when you are parents.
Yayyyyyyy Yan Yan!

little miss smarty pants
Miss Diva has been in swimming lessons now for almost six months. She truly enjoys the water and looks forward to going swimming. On monday, the only thing that the instructor said she needs to be working on is blowing bubbles. Well, again, for a cleft child, this can be a challenge. She tries but it's just not happening.
The instructor was having a little one on one time with her and baba. She asked Miss diva, "Can you say daddy?" and miss diva responds with the correct answer and says "daddy.". Then she wanted her to say "daddy" under the water, to try and produce bubbles. So she said to miss diva, "can you say, daddy, under the water?" with no thinking about her answer miss diva said" daddy, under the water."
They instructor swam away from them laughing and told Jason she was to smart.
What a little miss smarty pants...lol

First Braids
I remember as a teenager growing up, I always invisioned a little girl with dark hair as my child. Never thinking.....I always thought about being able to braid her hair and put pretty bows and stuff in her hair. Miss Diva's hair is finally long enough to put it in a tiny braid. She thought it was so pretty.
I love being a momma to this little girl. GOD has really blessed us for our patience waiting the 4 plus years for our little miracle....

Final Pictures of play structure...it's done
I think this cafe in the back of the play structure is really cool. The kids love it. The play restaurant all the time. I love being a mom and being able to stay @ home with miss diva. It's a blessing for sure!
