Just a few weeks ago, Jason's mom came to visit from Winnipeg. WE love when she comes to visit. She was here for 2 weeks, the first Sunday she was here, Grandpa Brook wanted to go to The Blue Moon for dinner. So we did. That evening, it was karaoke night and it was all old people their. Miss Diva had all she could do to keep her feet still while eating dinner. She was like someone on hot bricks. She loves any type of music. Finally , dinner was done and she was free to do whatever while we ate dessert. She shared a sundae with Nana and finally dragged her grandpa up dancing. She is funny.

The whole place thought it was the cutest thing ever. I am glad she is creating memories now, because grandpa is 85 and whole knows what the future holds.

He adores her and she adores him. I am glad they got to meet because I know he was a little worried he wasn't going to see her. We love you grandpa, thanks !

She was playing with wax sticks and making things.....she wanted me to play with her, so I did and made these glasses and had her try them on. She thought this was the funniest thing ever.

and then.....she made a beautiful ring to wear

we had to buy miss diva a new car seat because the one she had expired, so while baba was putting her new car seat into the car, she was playing in the box.

Yesterday, we went to get her dance outfit, she was soooo excited! I wish Baba was with us when we were trying the outfit on. It was like someone handed her millions of dollars. Her face beamed from ear to ear. She is one happy little girl.

fine motor skills

Coming home from China, Miss Diva was showin us some of her skills. Her fine motor blew my mind. As an Registered Early Childhood Educator, I haven't seen t many 3 year olds being able to do this. I have daycare kids in senior kindergarten that is unable to do this. She is loving this...

weekend away with friends....

All the way to Niagara falls , Miss diva would not close her eyes and have a sleep. Something inside me told me she was worried about what was happening. Traveling at night, car full of her stuff and talking about sleeping in a hotel.

Her eyes were bugged all the way until we got to the hotel. She was okay, after we checked in, got our stuff to the room and and she realized she was staying with us and we were not leaving her anywhere.
Sometimes, little things like this remind me about how fragile these little beings are and how much they depend on us keeping them safe and comfortable. She still is learning to trust us as her momma and baba. This breaks my heart that she has these fears of being left still.

We got in the hotel room and she ran to the window to look out. She was so excited to see the skylon tower and the elevator going up and down. She loved all the pretty lights and especially the fireworks.
