Approval

Just wanted to post and say we received government approval today. Our social worker as let us down this time. There was a long list of things that are missing from our dossier and we are scrambling to get done before march break. That means making a trek to Newmarket to get Jan and Paul to help us with paperwork that they are included in. I have pretty much everything under control.

There are a few questions I will need to ask Gina on Monday but for the most part, I feel good about getting this completed.

So, Yay for approval and on to the next step!

Valentine's Day

Miss Diva wanted to make her valentine's for school. I asked what she would like and she said "fishes". So, this is what we came up with and she thought they were cool and very please.

 These were the valentine's day card holders that I made with the daycare children. We had a blast. The kids thought the were funny and we used all recycled materials.

update on form

so had a email come through from our agency and they do not expect any slowdown because of this form. also, they are expecting our approval by the end of February. So exciting. I can wait until I know our dossier is sent to China.

also, this is a busy weekend for us. We are getting together with friends, Shawn, Jen and Zachery. She has been battling colon cancer and we miss hanging out with them. As of right now she is cancer free but doing chemo as a precaution.

Sunday we are getting together with friends to finally celebrate CYN with them I know there is a lot happening with the one family and they need time out.

Also, it's valentine's day tomorrow and I have the 2 sweetest valentines in the entire world.

So today we had a phone call from our social worker saying that the government is viewing our application for adoption and is requiring a service agreement between our family and him. He quickly emailed it to us and sent it directly to CB and the government.

I am waiting to hear if this is going to slow down our approval or not. Let's hope not!

KW Chinese school New Year Celebration

Saturday morning was exciting for everyone here @ this household. It was Miss Diva's first mandarin school performance.Jason and I are always wondering if she is "getting" it. We were thrilled to go and be apart of her day, see her class size , meet some of her friemds and try and connect with other families.

 This little girl has an amazing voice. She puts all her energy into her singing. Opera will be blessed to have this little girl singing it.
