getting ready for Halloween

Last year miss diva was all into going trick or treating, until, she went to one house that the people were dressed up with fake blood, white painted faces and witchy kind of laughs. This freaked her out and we came home.

This year, there was lots of discussing Halloween and what it's all about. Her first response was." I'm not doing it!" This was fine with me but the more she heard friends and daycare friends talking about it, she has changed her mind.

So we are going and she is going to be a ghost!

In preparation, we were making Halloween chocolates for her classmates and chocolates

lollipops for the Halloween hoot at school. She is now pumped and ready to go!

McMaster visit

Did I ever mention how brave miss diva is? Well, let me remind you. Yesterday @ McMaster, Christina came to the waiting area where we were waiting. Sat on the chair beside Miss Diva and told her everything that was going to happen and the words she was going to want her to repeat. We followed Christina into the room. She looked at me with a worried face and I reassured her that everything was going to be okay. We then put the lead aprons on and put her on the table. They asked her to lay down and she did. She was nervous! I could see it written all over her face. I held her hand and told her I was going to stay with her.

Christina put a lead coat on me so I could stand beside her. She then put some cream up into Miss Diva nose, so it would run down her throat so that it would give a better x ray of the palate. She started to cry but when she realized I was still there. She smiled and blew me a kiss. I held her hand and Christina started saying the words.

After we were all done, we had a quick chance to talk and the palate isn't reaching the back of the throat to stop the air from escaping out her nose. This means one thing...more surgery. I was expecting this but hoping it wasn't the case.

We will hear from McMaster on Tuesday and iron out the details.

I know God will be with us but I am not looking forward to this.....

weary.....

It's been a while since I wrote a post. I'm still not sure what to write but I will try. The last few months has been a whirl wind of events and before I knew it, Miss diva has been in JK for 8 weeks.

Before school started, Jason's granddad had passed away. This has been a very hard time for the princess, me and Jason. She continues to say good night grandpa in heaven and telling him that she misses him and would like to share smarties with him just one more time. This really breaks my heart!

Jason and I are struggling with family members making accusations that are not true. We know the truth and God knows the truth but it has created a feeling that Jason remembers to much as a child growing up. These people don't realize the hurt they are causing and to honest, may not care. Nice family! Anyway, we try to continue on with life and be happy, and I am loving every minute I get to spend with my little family.

Last, tomorrow, we are heading back to McMaster for a altrasound on miss diva's palate to see if it's working correctly. If not, they will then schedule a time for the next surgery. The surgery that will lengthen the palate. I am so worried about this, to the point where I am almost physically ill. For those following, please say a pray for the right solution and if it's another surgery that it works and she recovers smoothly.

thank you, EM
