Ribbons and Bows
One of the families that traveled to China with us, sends Miss Diva these beautiful ribbons for her hair. I think they are so cute, so I had to try and make them. So, here are the things I needed, ribbons, dowels, braettes and wooden clothes pins. Then I had to twist the ribbon around the dowels and put clothes pins on the ends.
After, the were all safely secured, I put them on a cookie sheet and in the oven they went for 25 mins.
Out comes beautiful twirlly ribbons......I am getting excited about making these.
Then I tied them together with fising line
And then attached them to the braette......I like this but thinks it should be bigger

Gifts from Newfoundland
Miss Diva received a parcel in the mail today. She was excited to finally be able to open it because I made her wait until all her daycare friends were gone home.
She couldn't move the paper fast enough whe she saw the hello kitty on the fabric.
Look at the smile on her face. She gave it a snuggle and carried it to be bed and but it into bed. I sleep with it okay mommy? Is what I was asked.....
Her favorite "dessert"......SMARTIES
hello kitty apron
treats!
Thank you Vaden, Juantina for the box of goodness.....so thoughtful

Big Girl Bed
I am having a hard time with this change. This was the last piece of baby that I was holding onto. Now, she is in a big girl bed. She had a hard time with it for the first hour, then she was okay with it.
The collection of stuff we had to haul from her room to get the double bed together. this "double" bed is almost as big as our queen.
Baba taking apart the toddler bed. I had a hard time with this.
The big girl bed is almost together, look at how big it is......hope she loves sleeping in it!
and together. The duvet cover is one we bought in Beijing@ the silk market. We bought pillow cases too. This feels so wonderful to touch and it looks beautiful in her room.
this is the pattern...butterflies
look who's checking out her new bed

halloween
She always has a smile. I am totally in love with this little girl. She is amazing. She wanted to wear her shirt Toria (Victoria) gave her during the day with her daycare friends.
silly Yan Yan!!!!
My beautiful Tinkerbell, she was excited that she got to wear some of momma's make-up.
dancing around the house before her friend comes to go trick or treating
beauty
It was drizzly outside, so this momma was happy when her costume fit outside her coat.
Miss Diva and her friend ready for the exciting night of trick or treating.........

Craving the Pumpkin
I don't remember ever having a pumpkin craved with me as a child.. I think I enjoy watching baba and Miss Diva craving pumpkins together... Quality time together. She really didn't think so!
Drawing the face on the pumpkin.
first the mouth, the the nose..
eyes and we are done with the face...next, it was to to start craving.......
she wasn't impressed when baba opened the lid to the pumpkin...to messy, she kept saying
she kept running away from it and saying no, I'm not doing it! when we would ask her to put her hand inside.
finally.. with lots of coaxing and promises of smarties, she finally but her hand in there...but not for long...it was luck that I caught her hand inside the pumpkin...silly girl
look mama...I found seeds....as she flicks them on the floor
she kept saying all night "happy pumpkin".....she was happy when it was done!
